Hello! My name is Jaida Freeman. This will be my third year teaching, but my first year teaching at Carmel! I previously taught 2 years of Kindergarten in Nashville, but this year I will teach 5th grade Reading and Social Studies. I am originally from Navarre Beach, FL and obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary (K-6) and Exceptional Education (K-12) with an English Learner endorsement from the University of West Florida in 2021. In my undergrad, I worked as a Reading Interventionist for grades K-3rd. Now, I am back in school working on my Master's Degree through Louisiana State University in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Reading Literacy. I am so lucky to be at such a great school with an amazing group of students. Go COLTS!
